Deepika Padukone, Indian actress and model was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and was raised in Karnataka, Indian. She is the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was also a badminton player, but left her carrier in sports to become a fashion model. She began her acting carrier with the titular role in the Kannada film "Aishwarya" in 2006. Her bollywood entrance was with the hit film "Om Shanti Om" in 2007. She also won the Fimfare Award for the "Best Female Debut" for her mindblowing performance in Om Shanti Om.
