Nikita Thukral, actress and model was born in July 6, 1981 into a Punjabi family and was raised in Mumbai. She began her filming carrier in 2002 with a Telugu film "Hai", produced by D. Ramanaidu. She has made her debut also in Malyalam, Kannada and Tamil films.

She is famous for her item song "Kodan Kodi" in "Saroja" and has won the ITFA Supporting Actress Award in 2008 for the same film. Her first Malayalam film (2002) was "Kaiyethum Doorathu" and Tamil film (2003) was "Kurumbu".
